1. The purpose of this memorandum is to transmit the final version of the VA/AFGE national master agreement. Although the signature and index pages are not included, the substance of the agreement is complete and each facility should begin planning for implementation. Formal notification to implement this agreement will be forthcoming within the next month.

2. Medical Facility Directors should provide this diskette to their Human Resources Management staff for the implementation process. Printed copies of the final master agreement will be made available to all medical facilities in approximately three months.

3. Joint training on the master agreement was recently announced. It is highly recommended that attendees to the training bring a copy of the agreement with them for reference.

4. Questions on the new master agreement should be addressed to your facility's Customer Advisory and Consulting Group (CACG) representative in VA Headquarters.
